Your advice journey
Before you begin the financial advice process, understand how we’ll work together.
Navigating your journey
At Avanti, we believe that one of the most important parts of the advice journey is education. For you to make informed decisions, you need to understand what your options are and the pros and cons of these options.
From your first interaction, we will take you through the options in an easy-to-understand way, guiding and advising you through life’s important decisions. This isn’t limited to financial advice. We are experienced at life and will also act as a sounding board and provide guidance accordingly.
01
The initial discussion
The initial discussion helps you to see if you like us and it also allows us to understand your objectives. Typically, an initial conversation lasts 20 to 30 minutes – time very well spent. No costs are incurred by you for this meeting.
02
A short questionnaire
Whenever we meet, the session is used to fully focus on the matters at hand. To allow this focus, we may send a questionnaire for you to complete before the fact-find meeting.
03
The fact-find meeting
This detailed meeting is spent understanding your current circumstances, your aims and objectives, and your fears and concerns. This is vitally important, as the more we understand you, the better our advice.
04
Research and analysis
Once we have all the information we need about you and your family, together with any existing investments and products you hold, we undertake detailed research and analysis. This forms the foundation of our recommendations.
05
Strategy outline meeting
Sometimes your affairs might have a high level of complexity. Therefore, we undertake a strategy meeting to outline the potential options. This allows us to make any subtle adjustments before we issue our formal recommendation report.
06
Recommendation report
Our advice is always confirmed in writing. This means you have a permanent reference to our advice and why we have recommended a course of action.
07
Post-recommendation report meeting
This meeting will be held once you have had the chance to review our recommendation report.
We encourage you to ask questions and it also allows us to explain features of our advice.
08
Implementation
We make implementation as easy as possible. All payments in relation to an investment are made directly to the recommended investment manager. We ensure “best execution”, and everything takes place timely and efficiently.
Over the many years we’ve worked together, Jonathan’s professionalism, knowledge, and service have been of great reassurance. His Chartered status is a testament to his excellent financial planning acumen. He has been fundamental in helping us achieve our objectives. I would recommend Jonathan to anyone in need of a very good adviser.
When I first met Jonathan, my affairs were complex, required considerable review and adjustment, and I had specific objectives to achieve. Jonathan has surpassed the original objectives. Regular meetings, combined with many “Can we have a quick catch-up" calls, have ensured I have a hugely reliable partner who I can trust.
We couldn’t recommend Jonathan more highly for his understanding, supportive, and expert approach in advising on our pension and investment options. He’s always been very responsive, courteous, and sensitive in all interactions and explained complex areas in layperson's terms. We look forward to many more years of having him manage our financial affairs.
Jonathan has been my financial adviser for more than eight years. He’s always been extremely knowledgeable and professional, and I value his exceptional skills in explaining complex financial matters clearly. He has a very friendly, calm, and warm personality and always goes the extra mile.
Jonathan has been advising me for several years on my pensions and retirement income solutions. He is a true professional, and his recommendations are well thought through and are specific to me.
